So i thought i might write something about the announcement made just over a week ago that google would start to use speed as a factor when determining the position of results in the search engine. This has genuine implications for anyone who is thinking about purchasing a web hosting plan anytime soon as uptime and speed of your website could be a serious factor in weather google decides to rank your website or not. What do you guys think? Will this be a serious part of the google ranking formula or is this another PR stunt.
